Default 93 Civic Hatch Passenger Compartment Air Inlet

Could someone tell me where the air is drawn into the cabin area from? Is there a filter that could be cleaned or replaced?

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it gets pulled in from the cowl area between the windshield and hood. I'm also pretty sure that there isn't a filter either.

Not to jack the thread from the original poster, but i have a similar question.

Is that inlet also the vent duct that goes thru the heater core? into the main cabin area, both driver and passenger side?

When i turn on my ac its fine, but when i turn it off (with the fan still blowing)...the air that comes thru smells wrank. Ive search, but have yet to find any related threads. Should i recharge the ac system? Or if its somthen caught in the vents somwhere...

thanx for any info in advance
