I just posted about 3 threads on this. a lot of people seem to like the Koni yellows and tokico illuminas. There both adjustable I know the illuminas are 5 way not sure about the yellows. I ordered my illuminas from http://www.Inlinefour.com

Don't, GR2's are stock replacements and dont offer any performance value.

Beat me to it. Go with at LEAST Tokico blues if anything and even those will probably blow with an aggressive spring. Koni adjustable, Bilstein sport, Tokico illuminas, KYB AGX are good shocks for lowering springs.

That's amazing.. Your setup is the FIRST set of eBay suspension I've ever heard of that doesn't sag... most spring/struts you'll get off of eBay well start to compress and loose there rebound. So if you were to take them all off they would all be different sizes, so I've heard. and as for the 500$ id say it well worth it. Why pay half price on crap when you could pay the normal price on excellent products.

if you cant affors the koni sports get the koni reds they are about the price of replacement shocks 70-80 ea, they are also ADJUSTABLE just not externally you have to adjust the piston before putting them on, but they are 100% better than any other replacement shock

even though im an illumina fan, i wouldnt recommend blues and wouldnt rate them above GR2's. theyre made in china and ive heard of them blowing too many times, perhaps because ppl are too cheap and also buy cheap springs on them, but still doesnt impress me.

i would consider GR2 and blues as fresh stock shock replacements.

i would suggest you get illuminas. but youve given us no details to give any advice on, like how much you want to spend, what kind of driving you do, what springs you are going to use....

well im planing to get neuspeed sport springs with KYB GR2 but ya im open to suggestions and my budget is bout 450 max. i drive from skool and back some times i have to take the back roads (very bumby). and some times the freeway. and the reason 4 me getting new struts and srpings is dat my car is very very bouncy. the person i bought it put after market lowering spring( i dont know wut brand) with stock struts so thats why i think its bouncy. i hate it so un comfy i feel every little rock on the road. sorry u had to reas all of that... help plz .... thanks guys

i wouldn't suggest the kyb agx. i have a set on my car right now and can't wait to get rid of them. i'm either going with illuminas or yellows.

Get the Tokico 'high performance' set with struts and springs from

http://www.iraterides.com

Best price I found, free shipping. $325.

.edit. I see they now want a little more, but it's still cheap for the combo.

No alignment needed unless you have aftermarket arms or what not.

Right from Tokico's site:

Civic/CRX (Incl. SI)(exc. S/W) 1989-91 High performance kit:HPK215 Illumina Kit: ILK216 Drop 1.25"

if ur concerned with rocks in the road, the struts are adjustable in stiffness. If you want little performance on springs, get the eibach pro kit which is a little stiffer than stock and will lower your car a bit. or you can just run stock.... but your car won't be lowered. Besides, Eibach has a WIDE arange of spring stiffnesses and hights. Something to consider.
