Last night me and a friend were installing a energy suspension shift bushing, when we were droping my stock exhuast we broke pretty much every bolt holding the exhaust up due to rust. Anyways, after getting my exhaust down, (with alot of help for the Dremal) I was shocked at how rusted it was, and decided I needed a new exhaust system. My freind (Redracinghart) just removed his 5 Zigen from his teg cause he's selling the car. Anyways, he conviced me to buy if from him for a REALLY good price (with money from my turbo fund).

So we installed it, and I love how it looks and sounds!!!! Will it work alright for turbo? I'll use a 2.5" dp, and a test pipe. I was planning on Thermal 3", but I couldn't pass this deal up. Will the 5 Zigen choke the turbo?

 

yes, the fireball is 2.25" so it will reduce power compared to the thermal

Im not asking what I should go with, I know 3" would bring better results. Im asking if MY 5 zigen exhause that I ALREADY HAVE will work OK with a turbo? Its not going to hinder the rusults badly is it?

 

I don't have anything to compare to but I'm running a 2.25" crush bent with a Magnaflo until I can upgrade to a custom 3". Mine runs pretty good..

 

Are you running a cat? Im going to rubn a test pipe, and my exhust is fully mandrel bent so that should help a bunch. Also, I will have nothing to compair it to so jumping from 120 whp to 240 whp w/turbo will fell AWSOME!!!
