Default Need help

Before anyone says anything, I just spent the last hour or so searching for possible threads related to this issue, but no definite answer.

the problem is:

DPFI - > MPFI conversion
Chassis: 1990 Civic DX
Motor: 1990 Civic SI
Engine Harness: 1991 CRX HF
ECU: 1990 SI
Dizzy: 1990 SI

I got the instructions how to wire up the MPFI, I know that works because I'm not getting a CEL for anything related. But I am getting a CEL code 10 (ten quick flashes without a pause) The motor doesn't rev up past 2200 rpm

I double checked all the wiring for the MPFI, and I also checked the dizzy wiring, everything seems to be runnin, but doesn't idle very well either. I checked #1 & #2 spark plugs.. black, that tells me I'm not getting sparks in 1 and two.. ? What to do next? Please help.

TIA

I THINK there may have been 2 wires that are different between and SI harness and an HF... so if you did the conversion using directions from an Si it COULD be an issue...

Im not sure on any of this though just pulling something I think I may have read a long time ago. It may give you a start on where to look.

Good luck

Oh and thank you for giving me my 1000th post. 4 year member and only 1000 posts LOL...

Code 10 is the INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE sensor. Either the sensor is messed up or the wiring is wrong. Here are some pages on how to troubleshoot it. All you need is a multimeter.

The pictures show the sensor for a dualport, but its the same for a multiport. It's still the same sensor, its the only white one, its going to be in the back of the intake manifold.

the IAT.. that I'm not too worried about..

I think I figured it out though. I might have reversed two wires.. i'll have to re-trace the wiring this friday.. thanks for the suggestions.
