how to fix curbed rims??

does anyone know if there is any way to fix rims that have been curbed?? like a way to grind down the lip to make it smooth again? any info on rim repair appreciated. TIA

uhhhh i dont kno for sure. they are Tenzo Mean 6's. so whatever it is made out of. the steel lip of the rim is messed up pretty bad.. i was thinking of grinding them down, but then i was thinking that that would compromise the strength of the wheel.....

Yes. There are good wheel repair shops all over the country that are qualified to repair curbed rims, and have the expertise and equipment to make sure that the wheel remains true (balanced) as well as restoring their original finish and appearance. Take it to one of them. Expect to pay $100-150 per rim.

awesome. thanks.. do u happen to know the names of any of them?? i went to big o tires, b/c there is a bunch of guys there with honda's, thinking they might know, and none of them did..

If you don't mind shipping your wheels, you can use other places such as Truwheel in SoCal, Wheel Collision Center in Pennsylvania, Precision Wheel Service in Minnesota, Ye Ole Wheel shop in Maryland (800-526-8260), Transwheel, etc.
