You are correct itr#xxxxlives, the JDM radio runs off of different segament of FM frequencies than what our radio stations put out. This can be changed with some sort of modulator though. The JDM radio still has significant value to some here in the states and to the car to keep it 100% JDM. But who knows.

Guy I work with almost bought it but wasn't able to come up with the money. Plus the fact he's already had his SI stolen and doesn't want to worry about another car getting stolen.
Any ways... I asked him the millage and he said about 80,000 kilometers.
Also the rear window has been fixed already.

man that's ******* retarded on buying that R, you can just import the **** yourselves, for a fraction of the cost, all you gotta do is deal with customs, which is wayyy better than spending 15, and maybe even more. CEO will be making mad money. thats just me though... always find a finder smarter route, it may take longer, but **** you can save a lot of money by doing so.

Care to elaborate/translate?
From all the previous posts on importing ITR's or any other for that matter, it seems like a major PIA getting them up to US crash testing standards. Oh yeah, the whole test drive thing would be, well, impossible.

according to the description the car is registered and legal...so...no you can't import it yourself and get it registered for a fraction of the cost unless you plan on trying to scam the dmv.

This importer has already done the legwork and all the crap thats a PITA. For the average joe 15k isnt bad, if you wanna do it yourself I think you would spend damn near that if not more trying to do it.

They may want closer to $20k...but if the auction ends at $15k...isn't the seller held by legal contract to give it up for the winning bid? Then again, I didn't see if there was a reserve set or not on the auction. And even if you were able to import the exact same car for less than $15k, wouldn't you end up spending more than that just to legalize it, register it and insure it afterwards? Does anyone know how much it costs to do something like that because I'm sure its at least a pretty penny!

That shop is near to me. One of my friends bought a jdm itr motor from them. I think the car had front end damage before and they fixed it. It's been on e-bay for a while now.

No reserve, but the auctioneer does have the right to end it early. Now if they let the auction end at 15k it’s a "legally binding contract".
