has the refigerant leaked out of the system?
if you know you have a full refrig charge-->you can check the a/c comp. clutch by turning on the a/c, look at the a/c compressor, listen for the clutch solenoid to 'click'; it's very noticable; if you hear the click and the center part of the compressor pulley is not turning with the outer(belt drive) part, then the clutch or a/c switch could be bad. if no click, then check your refrigerant charge--don't convert to r134a unless absolutley necc--there are a couple of r12 replacements out there. use an a/c guage set when filling/checking the a/c system.
