Default OT: Spoon or Toda Flywheel??

I used OT because this is for my civic Si and i can't decide which would be better. Everyone in EG EK forum says to go here where people actually have money. haha. Anyway. What would you guys prefer for Clutch/flywheel.

I planned on Exedy organic/Toda
but now i see spoon and wonder how good their clutch/flywheels are

thanks,
Larkin

They are both the same. Toda's weight is a little more centered, so it might rev a tad faster, but is also more expensive then spoon.

I would go with Toda clutch/flywheel combo. One of the best out there for NA application and for sure you won't regret about it.

Toda because it has holes making it easier for us drunken rednecks to install

They're both top notch. You will not be dissapointed with either. If money is an issue, just get the one you can get cheapest. (Probably Spoon)

I just installed a Toda/Exedy combo in my 99 Si. Simply awesome, smooth when you're puttering around town, but doesn't slip when you get on it !!!

I was wondering this too..........I am pretty (not 100%) sure that Toda, Exedy, and spoon clutches are made by the same company but to specs of toda, exedy, and spoon

I do (Spoon flywheel, ACT clutch.) I've never driven a car with a Toda flywheel, though, so I can't really comment on the difference.

I am using both the SPOON Flywheel&Clutch combo. Can't complain about either; car revs REAL fast with the flywheel, and even faster now with my knife-edged crank.

A friend of mine was using a TODA flywheel in his R, and the car stalled on him once in while he said, but all in all both are a good choice. The Spoon clutch bites nice too. But Exedy clutch is sweeeet, you heading in the right direction so far that for sure. Keep us updated on what u get and your impressions!

I have a 99 Si with both the Toda flywheel and clutch. Can't compare it to the spoon because I've never driven a car with a Spoon flywheel. Car revs very fast and smooth. The revs do drop down faster, but nothing that a little more practice can't fix. It's been in the car for a year now, and no problems at all. The car will sometimes stall if you sit in neutral and just blip the throttle, the motor doesn't catch itself quick enough and stalls. I think it's money well spent, going with the JDM FD next

Actually, saving up for a B18C bottome end. I've been driving my friend's Teg R too much and missing the torque!

Spoon the lightest billet machined chromoly flywheel with no holes.
Very durable setup and cost less than Toda I gess

Note that if the flywheel is too light you will loses the balance of the engine.
