Default Question about slamming a 5th gen

I just got my teins installed and i lowered the front to where there are 4 threads left on the coils. I am hearing a banging sound, like my UCA's are tapping the tops of the fenderwells. From what i have read, the pillow ball mounts are supposed to squeak, not sound like banging. Am i wrong or what? Is this normal?

well i got a 4th gen but when i dropped the **** out of it all the way down on my skunk 2 coils i hadda cut into the frame to make room for the upper control arms...lift it back up and you'll probably see where its hitting...or jack up the suspension and take out the wheel till the suspension would be as if the car was on the ground and you'll see where its touching also.

yeah, i believe the HA's have the capability to go lower than they can actually handle. but anyway, moot point.

i'm raising the car up before i drive to south florida to get tuned. I dont want to get down there and have to raise my car up to get on the dyno.
All its gonna take to get me mad is scraping the header.....i'd get pissed, prolly go home at that exact moment and raise the car up.

yeah my header is pretty fucked up.....but its a jdm header (honda) so i really dont give a **** right now, once i get a RMF or SMSP i'll raise my car a little, and i only had to cut like 1/2 inch off, like the lip basically, its hard to explain.

Yeah man, something is hitting something. Check the UCA and the frame, maybe check the swaybar to se if it's closer to anything now (my rear bar hits the LCA, but I'm not sure about the front). Just check everything connected to the suspension...it's always something you don't expect.

painted sawblades look good. sorry to jack your thread but did you paint the rims yourself, have them powdercoated or something else. im trying to decide if i should do the same to my extra set of wheels or if i should give them the homemade polish and clearcoat job.

Geez, from those pictures my car is lower than that (I'm tucking tires). I don't hear any knocking though. I'm getting teins soon, hopefully that doesn't happen to me

yeah sure look good, but on the roads they suck especially in jersey where every 10 feet theres a pot hole or a huge @ss hole.

it only happens when i hit bumps. I seriously think part of the problem might be because i cant get the top nut tight enough. I have tried using an 8 milimeter wrench to hold the shock still and use a 14mm wrench to tighten down the nut, but i'm afraid to put pressure on the 8mm cuz i dont want to strip the notch out.

Any suggestions on that?

i slammed mine and when i hit a nice dip the wheels hit the fenderwells. im a bit lower then you are though. if i put stock wheels back on i would tuck tire

edit: we are about the same height really. i never have any problems with my UCA's yet.
