Default Water in my exhaust?

is it normal to have condensation come out of your exhaust pipe after a valve job? Cause when I finished the other day I thought I did something wrong and was buring oil. When I took a closer look water drops were coming out of my exhaust with a white mist kind of like smoke. It stopped after a little while so I was just wondering if this was normal.

Well it wasnt in the morning. Dead afternoon when I saw seeing these puffs for smoke/condensation. I think it was just the fact that I had the valve cover off and moisture got inside somehow.

I hope you had not run the car at all that day before doing the valve adjustment.

Nope it was cold. I know better then to adjust my valves when the engine is warm. I was just wondering why it would of had soo much condensation burning off. I think it was kind of cold out so that could of added to it.
Probably just a little condensation got into my valves when I had the cover off.

Water is a natural by product of combustion. It's just that usually the exhaust heat vaporizes it so you can't see it. During the winter you should notice vapor issueing from exhaust pipes. Among other things, it's water vapor. An ideal clean combustion would only yield water and carbon dioxide. For example:
propane CH3CH2CH3 + oxygen 5 O2----> (over heat)yields 4 H2O water + 3CO2 carbon dioxide. I haven't reviewed by chemistry in a while so someone correct me if I'm wrong. So everyone has water in their exhaust, normally you just don't see it.

Actually an ideal combustion would emit pure water vapor. A pure oxygen and hydrogen combustion would emit water vapor. Hydrogen and oxygen is the same thing the space shuttle uses. Most of that white "smoke" coming out of the shuttle is water vapor (steam) The solid rocket boosters are a different story though. If we ever did get hydrogen powered cars, we probably wouldn’t carry around tanks of oxygen. We would just take the oxygen from the atmosphere. The only probable with that is you also take in other kinds of gasses which will combine with the oxygen and hydrogen and create all kinds of other gasses besides water vapor in the exhaust. Hydrogen powered cars would be nice, but we probably wont see them anytime soon if the oil industry has their way. Some might thing hydrogen is explosive, but so is gasoline. The thing about hydrogen is say in an accident were the fuel tank is penetrated. With the hydrogen it will immediately evaporate and escape into the atmosphere, gasoline will spill out all over the place, and probably catch fire
