No flippin Kidding!!! You got a 20 year old Honda and have a few problems....Go Figure...LOL
I really doubt the problem lies with the main relay in that year and model, I'd be checking things like spark loss or the fuel pressure.
More info will help you get better answers; there might be a few grey haired old men around here that have experience on that model.

I just sold a cherry of a 85 on tuesday 232k...It was my daily driver until I bought my 94 two weeks ago.

I only had it two years so I really didn't have many mechanical issues, leaky power steering, replaced alt and h2o belts, plugs and plug wires. Never changed oil,filter,antifreeze.
