I am looking into purchasing/installing a short shifter.

1. Does it matter what brand I get/where I order the short shifter at?
2. How difficult of an install is it?

 

The brand I don't know it matters or not, but look for the % reducing in throw. Different brand with different number.

It is very easy to install.

 

i've been kicking around with getting the forbidden short shifter. I have been saving up but just dragging my heals.

They are easy to install if you can do some minor work on your car. And if you're a pro...its cake.

 

i got my short shifter adapter from ebay, and its a non-brand adapter but it worked well when shifting, on mine it was pretty short throw.

 

first, are you looking for an adapter or the actual short shifter?

I've heard mixed reviews about the adapter, but never had any personal experience. I've heard many good things about the Forbidden and Pspec shifters though. I was planning on getting a Pspec before my Accord was totalled.

Do a search in the Accord forum, in both the recent and archives, on "shifter". You'll come up with many threads to read through.
