Default how does this sound?

so we went to Lucas Honda today, saw a used 2004 model black si sitting on the lot with a greddy muffler, i dont know which one, sounded nice though

we talked some numbers and we got them down to 16K.

the car has 18K miles on it and we're going back friday to see if we can work something out.

but my mom wants me to get a silver 05 with a new warranty, but i thought it was too much money for an 05.

after taxes the 04 black one came to about 18somethingK and the 05 came to 21 something. we didnt negotiate the 05 that much really but i wanted black, plus is had a sweet exhaust on it, i didnt check the engine to see if they did anything else on it.

so, am i getting a good deal? should i go for it?

also these cars idle pretty high. it was around 1500 rpm, if i remember the last si i test drove idl'ed lower, but both their new car and used one idled around 1500, is that normal?

NO! kellys blue book values a 2004 civic si with 18k miles in excellent condition at $16,005. you can purchase a 2005 base rsx for 18k otd. also keep in mind that the civic si you were looking at was probably driven hard, seeing that it was modified.

a 1,500rpm idle is not normal. maybe it was the weather conditions, or the car just being really cold when started up. the idle should be under 1,000rpm.
