Cams - Buddy Club Spec 3+ or Spec IV
Just wondering what would turn out the best results with an 11:1 compression ratio on a standard or .25 overbore b-series block. The spec 3+ or the Spec IV's. Read somewhere after the thousands of searches i did, that spec IV's dont perform well unless they are at a higher rate. Comments? disagreements? Confirmations? Your input is appreciated.

I'm running spec 4's on 11.3:1 compression and they are working QUITE well.

What kind of engine? Does displacement ever play a role? Wouldn't it need higher compression on a b16 versus a b18? Sry if this seems like I'm askin' my own q, I don't mean to take away from ur thread.
what reliability with the spec 4's and how often is the car used. cause im thinking of going with these in a few months and my car will be daily go to work and college car. so im in a toss up between skunk 2 pro1 or bc 3+ or bc 4

I drive mine everyday over 60 miles to and from work with 0 problems. I am just now getting around to checking the mileage on them, but it seems very good. Keep in mind this is tuned also.

I guess IV's might be the way to go. I haven't seen anyone talk about down grading from IV's to 3+'s because of drivability probs or for any other probs for that matter. Does such a person exist? if so please post experience.

I can't think of any reason why you would hear of someone like that. Some people say the 4's lope a little at idle, they seem smooth to me. In all honesty, these cams are a lot like stock. I don't notice much of any ill effects from them in driveability, idle, fuel mileage, etc... Of course, my car is tuned also.
