Weird code on ECU 89 Integra LS

Weird code on ECU 89 Integra LS
I posted this in here because I don't think I'll get much of a response in Integra forum because its mostly DC/DA.
So the car throws a CEL after driving for about 20-30 minutes. Once the light comes on the car hesitates and runs like ****. I know the rings are bad (haven't done a CT but blows black smoke under engine load).
So this is the code I'm getting from the ECU under the pass seat.

17 short
WTF does that mean?

Yeah the cable is broken, but shouldn't it blink 1 long 7 short. Oh well I'll fix the cable and see if that helps. Thanks
