clutch cable too short!!! using LS though?
ok so im installing my engine n im almost done but when i go to put on the clutch cable on, its too short, the thing is im using the right cable,an LS, n i had it on my last rex the only difference is that last time i was using a YS1 tranny n now im using a jdm S1, the cable fit before what the hell!!! now the thing is that i left the trowout bearing that was in the S1 tranny which was from a stock clutch, would that have anything to do with it?? please help need to finish swap by tomorrow!!!!1
When installing a swap, the origanal cable should be used. The ls one is the same cable as the original. You have to remove some of the casing above the adjuster nut, and remove some of the metal coil inside to make the cable a little longer. Dont take off too much though. Just take off a little bit at a time, and keep doing until it fits.
