Recommended Springs for Daily Driven R on stock shocks...
WHat do you guys recommend for a daily driven R on stock shocks, I'm looking a fairly stiffer ride and lower ride height. The car is currently on 16" Volk CE28N's.

Most likely, as with any car, if you lower the ride height and stiffen the spring rates on OEM shocks will result in excessive wear to the shock and may result in shock failure.
Same issue if you decide to cut the springs.

Well I dont plan on doing any autocrossing really... just the daily turns here and there, and enough of a drop to get rid of the wheel gap

From what I heard, even daily driving on lowered car with stock shocks will blow them out. I have no experience with this, just from what I have heard.

Those were the first ones I had on my last ITR, worked nicely.
Just get the ones with only an additional 1/2" drop or so.
JDM (23mm) rear anti-sway bar would probably be helpful as well.
Marc, which wing is that (since i seem to see bolt holes)?

i like the spoons that I had on my car for about 3 months. I found a good deal on some HAs though and love those a whole lot more

I'm still curious and interested.
Doesn't have to be pretty as long as it works.
Sorry about the OT discussion. Sort of.

what's up ed? ed --> da king of OT discussion. well, i'm not innocent either.
yeah, wing is slightly big! but i'd presume m&m honda had done some testing on the wing - if it does its deed, then there's a need.

There's a company that specialises in carbon fiber. They sell a replica of the Mugen wing for about $375 including shipping from either Canada or Taiwan, depending on when you catch them with stock and where it is.
Here's an eBay ad w/one of these wings: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT.
Just like the Mugen wing, it would be a little more effective at evening out the air stream behind the car, but perhaps not quite as effective as slightly higher wing designs like those used on the DC2 Honda Challenge cars and the final versions of the Realtime World Challenge cars.
Most of us aren't going to be reaching speeds over 140 on even the higher speed tracks, and we're only at that speed for seconds before having to haul the car down quickly. With a properly considered, well aligned suspension, even with OEM bushings, you won't necessarily need the wing for either straight line stability at speed or for helping with threshold braking at high speeds.
However, there's definitely a marginal advantage to going with a different wing, and I'm sure people like the Curpiers and many others wouldn't have gone to those wings if there weren't a clear advantage for good drivers at high speeds.
God only knows what kind of 1000HP triple turbo power you're talking about, so perhaps you're one of those few good drivers who'd benefit from a different wing.

The Spoon springs were designed for exactly what you're asking about.
They won't blow your OEM dampers (assuming they're in good shape to start with), and they provide flatter cornering with progressive compression rates that won't rattle your teeth.
