Default anyone interested in a custom hub? (momo hub modified)

just seeing if anyone is intersted and seeing how much people are willing to spend on a custom hub. overall height of the piece with the nrg quick release is equal to the height of a momo hub itself. this hub will allow you to add a QR that almost keeps your steering wheel in the stock location where you will be able to grab the levers easier. anyone interested and if so, what are you guys willing to pay?

so heres the base of the momo hub that was hacked off and machined down. you can see that theres a little lip that was machined into the hub the will hold the spacer very tightly into place.

heres the space with a lip machined into it to hold the NRG QR.

polished momo base and the spacer attached to it. in picture above the spacer was 1in, but the final one was only 1/2in.

you can see here that the spacer is attached to the momo hub with 6 allen-head bolts/fastners. the holes were countersunk and the momo base was tapped.

heres a final pic with the momo tuner 360mm wheel, silver NRG QR, and the modified momo hub.

Is this something that you will make in its entirety? Or would you/I have to supply an existing hub, basically paying you to do the machining?

I think I would be willing to pay 20-30% over the standard hub. Maybe more depending on what is required by me. If I had to buy a hub and then ship it to you I would be reluctant to pay anything more then 10% of the cost of a regular momo hub for machining services.

I do think there is a place for this though, I know I would love to have one when I get an aftermarket steering wheel.

If you start making these please PM me to let me know.

thanks for you interest ronnyg801. bad thing is that youll have to supply your own hub. the reason being is that machining out splines is really difficult. anyone else have any input? yeah these willb e made but just need to know if theres gonna be a big enough market.

Why the spacer? why not just attach the QR directly to the shortened hub?

Probably stupid, but just curious.

Any updates? Have you figured out what you will need to charge? the more I look at this the more I like the solid spacer and not the lil shock boot thingy.

If you have a price please PM me, I may jump on this...

yea...i wouldnt pay more then say 50-60 bux...to pay and wait for a hub, then ship and wait for you to get it, then wait for you to machine it and ship....too much of a hassle...the splash short hub goes for about 150...
