Help Removing Driveshaft
I'm installing a new clutch and having trouble removing the driveshafts. I am following these instructions on Team-Integra.net: http://www.team-integra.net/se...D=961
(the link shows where I am stuck) I am having trouble prying the driveshaft out of the tranny on both the passenger and drivers sides. The car is in neutral but nothing will pry them loose.
I have called Autozone looking for an Axle Puller (recomended in other threads) but the Autozone employees recomend prying the driveshaft w/ a screwdrives (like I've been trying) or using a flange.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: The link wasn't working right. Just go on http://www.homedepot.com and search for "pry bar." That worked pretty well for me.
i would go to http://www.hondahookup.com/manuals/
make a login and download the pdf manual, this really helps for everything, just to have an overview of how everything looks and such
oh, and i would recommend some plasic (white medical disposable) gloves.... this saves you when you are doing the stuff with grease....
good luck

i just stuck a screwdriver between the axle and the transmission, and tap in with a screwdriver. itll eventually pop out. as far as the passenger side, i just took out the halfshaft bolts and removed the whole axle/halfshaft. turned out to be easier that way.
Thanks for the help!
A friend of mine who has only worked on his RWD car and is helping me install the clutch mentioned that, if i pulled the black boots off of the driveshaft there may be bolts there which could free the driveshaft. Is this correct? Here's a pic to clearify what I'm talking about because I don't know the specific names for anything.

there are no bolts in the boots, if you take the boots off you will have to repack the bearings and re clamp the boot,
for the passenger axle use a big flat head screwdriver, or preferibly a pry bar,
for the driver side you can try to pry the axle out of the intermediate shaft or use a mallet, i use a small piece of wood and put it on the axle and hammer at the wood
There going to take some effort to get out, there in there pretty good

A prybar will eventually pop the shafts, just keep at it, try shocking them out with good hard pulls on the bar, they can be very tight.
Not to be a smartarse or anything...but have you taken the shafts out of the hubs? They'll go nowhere without the other end disconnected.
There's no bolts under the boots, just grease and needle roller bearings, be VERY VERY CAREFUL with these bearings, they can fall apart, and if they do it's a bitch to put them back together, and if even one of the needle rollers disappears (which they have a habit of doing) thats the whole show f**ked! So best just pop the shafts!
