ya just hopefully he does it tastefully, not pimp my ride style with a body kit, 18in rims, stock motor. he is foose so im sure he can do it good

 

A few friend of mine participated in the build. I've seen pictures of the car. It's not ricey at all, It's Chip Foose

 

ya thats what i would hope to believe but come on, ppl not in the import car scene put all hondas into the fast and furious bullshit i get it ever time i speak to a person not driving an import.

I have to agree with you. I get the same thing ALL the time. It's just something we have to deal with because it is a part of the "import scene", unfortunately. Not everyone is going to be a JDM king or have a SFWD car.

 

so did he have a good team on his hands then. like people in the scene of imports since he has a different team usually known of the car they are workign on

 

can't wait to see the result...especially the paint job.

 

the car def did not end up with 18's, it got foose edition 20's on a civic. well for paint i dunno if you can say it s ricey but in some eyes its def different. The car had no jdm theme what so ever, but who would complain to have a beater turned into a show car for free.

got to look at the whole picture. This was the first time an import was ever done for the show. Lots of things shoulda coulda woulda been done, but there was lots of politics holding things back.

the first concept of the build was for boost since Dylan was into the whole import scene and had already done a GSR swap. to that once we heard that the build had to be CARB legal.

then supercharged. again nobody was able to provide CARB numbers in time for the build.

had to stay all motor since it had to go to the ref and pass emisions. got some goodies bigger bore je and eagle through in the goodies. port flow for the head
hondata, nitrous express, BDL, to name a few.

it was really all done in a 7 days.

 

the the car got 20in rims or is that just the style of foose well like a rota "slipstream"

 

I think it will turn out fine....

The TiVo and AIW card are all ready to capture this.

and i drove by and stood behind the host during taping.

RJ devera helped design this civic.....


and it isnt the only civic done on overhaulin' they have now done TWO.

From my knowledge Chip Foose had no help from RJ Devera. I was there and the others guys saw that Chip was the one who designed this civic. With the talent that Chip has I don't think he would need RJ's help... Well it has something to do with drag racing because JoJo Callos built the motor!!!

 

well, i saw RJ there flossin his blue 350Z with twin turbos..... and acted like he was the know-it-all. (he should stick to movies... HAHA)

 

can't wait to see it!
