Nothing wrong with Greddy, but I'd get the OEM for my car.

Balancer belt and timing belt are NOT the same belt. Somewhere around $60-70 is what I paid for new timing belt from Honda dealership.

You're kidding me right? I already know that, but you'll have to change it out anyways whenever you do change the timing belt If you've ever changed a timing belt, you would know that it's best to change both anyways.

No offense, but see what I mean?

The balancer belt runs from your crank to the two balancer shafts in a "Y" shaped configuration.

The arguement is about 50/50 whether you actually need it or not. Some people argue that it starves horsepower. Your three options are to leave it on, remove the belt, or remove belt and balancer shafts - for which there are a fair number of "balancer shaft eliminations kits". This arguement has been covered at length, so I would just do a search and read up on it, if it interests you.

Does it need to be replaced with timing belt? Well....it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

I really don't know.....service parts like that I just buy from the dealer. Doesn't seem too bad though; I've never bought a balancer shaft belt cause I don't have one, lol. Just do "the priceline" - shop and compare. That's about all I know to tell you.

I wouldn't trust it...I would just get an OEM one, cause you never know what might happen with an aftermarket belt, expecially a timing belt which if it breaks, say good bye to your motor.

What I've done in the past is used an OEM timing belt and Gatorback/Autozone special for the other belts, including the balance shaft. seems to be fine.

When I bought my Prelude it too had Mitsubishi belts, I always thought that was kind of odd, but I changed mine a few months ago back to OEM.
