Default NOPI coming to Texas?

I thought I would point a few things out;

Turbo 4 cars

Art(arturbo)
Stan(fasturbo)
Matt(one fab)
Aaron(Ace)
Allen(honda heaven)
Phillip

Pro 4 cars

Chuck(close enough)(alternative)
Bryan(pro drag)
Kenny(Jotech)(castrol)

Pro Stock

Adam F(Syndicate)

Power Street

Alex(hispeed)
Mark(WRX)

Nopi Chic

Cori(C Squared)
Kendl(stein)
Anna(bikini racer.com)
Cyndi(DSR)

Modified
Ric(racing mazda)

In Memphis, Texas took Power street,Nopi chic,Bracket 15 and runner up. The reason I'm making this thread is to get Nopi thinking about coming back to Texas.
Please consider

it all comes down to the crowds, we need their support, without them, nopi doesnt make $, therefore they have no need in comming down.. there was never any advertizing or promoting for the events down here in houston, the only people that showed up were the kids from the local shops. i think if nopi was to come down anywhere in texas, they should do the flyer thing and promotions on the local radio stations. word of mouth can only go so far, not everyone reads the internet either, so maybe the oldschool way to promote is the way. just my .02

art needs to email his video to nopi just incase they missed the speedscene interview

the racers are not the problem and i dont think that they have ever been..... it is the spectators. and i think all the racers know that as well as nopi. I think we are going to give them a showing when we turn Clash of the Titans into an event as big if not bigger than NOPI here in Texas. Lets make them want to come back.

i was a little late!!!

I agree with Philip... I've been trying to get sponsors on board for the Houston Clash of the Titans in October, but we've really, really been pushing our tuning customers to come race and bring all of their friends out. We need racer's families filling up those stands and buying products at sponsor booths to get larger races back to Texas. I strongly believe radio advertising is a huge untapped resource for advertising here, especially in Houston. I hope Clash will bring a big boost to Texas, but it's going to take alot of media attention to fill those stands.

I know last year in dallas they had some radio spots on, and one station was even giving away tickets. Turn out at that race was better than the previous years, but I think the damage had already been done. I know there are alot of shops here in dallas that build "FAST CARS" that dont support the track events. We have to get as many people involved as possible. These young kids go to shops as a way in and if they are not guided down the right path they just end up becoming "ricers" instead of "racers" LOL (I made a funny).

That all I Got to say
Peace,

DARKNESS

P.S. LETS MAKE CLASH HUDGE SO THAT NOPI HAS NO CHOICE BUT TO COME GET THIS MONEY LOL. And as far as racers on that list at the top you cant forget Ari mr. RX-7 himself that guy is the NEW BREED OF SPEED. to him for being such an awsome competitor.

Yup its all about the turn out, we need more of our fellow Texans to come out and represent. Rain, time, and money is always a factor, but we need to get over that. I know I'll be attending both Clash Events.

Well Nopi isn't doing Maple Grove, PA anymore either and considering that I think turn out was great, I've never seen Maple Grove packed on both sides. Mike Myers said they took a hit on that event and that's why they didn't come back... So it's gonna be hard to convience Nopi if they didn't good in the first place why come back?

Well they took a hit on Memphis too. It would be bad *** if NDRA would go to Las Vegas or so.

Im not sure how houston did last time but here at the motorplex the turn outs wernt really good. Im sure it would do good if the motorplex was actually closer to dallas

I wouldnt care if nopi comes to houston san antonio or dallas... I would be there to race in either t4 or powerstreet. I would rather see them in san antonio since its a good midway point for everyone involved and its an awsome track. Not to mention I also understand its a bit cheaper to rent.
Either way.. Clash of the titans.. here I come.

The last Maple Grove race I went to might as well have been a test and tune, nobody was there! I haven't seen maple grove packed in years.

the turnout absolutely sucked at NOPI finals last year, compared to the turnout at other races, but I will give everyone an inside scoop! I have heard through the grapevine (can't release sources), the Motorplex will lose their NHRA contract after 2006, and there is a track being built at Texas Motor Speedway, similar to LVMS, that will get the NHRA contract.

BTW for the originator of this topic, dont forget Adam F for Pro Stock.

That track has been talked about for a while, it is not only going to be like lvms but is going to be owned by the same people. It is more than a rumor from what i hear.

Kinda off topic but since we are trying to promote more racing to our home fields, how about a utah race also.

T-4
Jasen Penman
Cortney Green
Buck Lamoine
John Gill
Nate Pierce
Brandon Ranea
Kyle ......
Mia .......
Cody Anderson
Steve Conley
Jestin Tompson
James Gilland
and more that I cant think of currantly

Also we would fill the stands with spectators at one of these events. At the local midnight drags, we have over 7k in the stands to watch. It would be crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!
