cam problems in gsr
I am in the process of swapping my B16 out and putting in my gsr. One of the cams takes 50 pounds of torque to turn and other takes 30 pounds. We loosen the bolts on the head and it still is very hard to turn. We took off the cam and seems to be just fine. What is there to do? Please help!

There's more then one thing that can hold a timing belt from spinning...........such as rusted sleeves that dont allow the pistons to move. Im going to say as long as the cams have the normal "kick back" where its hard to turn and then sorta kicks itself around after the hardest part, then 50 ft/lbs is fine. I know Ive broken my cam bolts loose trying to get the cam gears lined up at TDC and they are torqued at 33 if Im not mistaken, so 50 sounds about right to me.
