My friend just sold his car to a Minor. The buyer has a drivers license but is under 16. He paid cash for it and was on his way!!!!!!


Is it OK to sell your car to a minor? Any inputs are appreciated.

Where are you that a kid under 16 can have a license?

 

Oops, what I meant to say was, he is under 18 (he is 16) and has a license

 

i believe its ok...lots of people in my area that i know are less than 18 n they buy cars..i dont think its against the law

 

Its legal, you just can't use a binding contract. Only vocal agreements.

 

my brother was 17 and bought a piece of **** car for 300 bucks without my mom and dads permission. (my brother is also autistic) and he fucked up the door and window. my mom and dad freaked when they saw it. so like a couple weeks later my brother took it back and they said they wouldnt refund him. my brother/parents took him to court and the judge said he had to refund the money because all contracts or deals with minors are not liable. but i live in cali so your laws may be different. but just remember the kid could come back with damage to the car or motor and get a full refund. watch out.

This is interesting....So evenif you have money, if you are a minor you can't buy anything? or get into any contract?
