Are you speaking of the JDM 4-1 Lower Header bracket? If so, it is not needed.. but advisable for hard driving. I put one on, only because my car sees heavy track use.

Many people run the JDM ITR 4-1 without the bracket, and it is such a robust piece that I doubt cracking will be a problem. Certain other headers do not even have provisions for a bracket (Spoon comes to mind) and I don't run one on my DC JDM 4-1. However, if you are looking for one, Dave at www.randdmotorsports.com or Mike at www.ipsracing.com could surely get it for you if they don't have one in stock.
