Default Best setup

Hey guys, I need pro advice.

I currently have a 98 GSR all stock exept for Intake and Suspension. I was looking up to go all motor but Im trying to get the best out of it and Im trying to keep my block.

Basically, I'm trying to find out about the best Block-Head-Pistons-ECU set.

So far, I determined that keeping my block, putting a b16a head on it, itr pistons (or ctr).. and the ECU.. I have no clue.

Is there such a thing as a "best setup" ? And also I read that if you put a thinner headgasket it increases the compression ratio (if true - why?).

3rd part of the question, going all motor, should I get a hondata or a vtec controller? (V-AFC)

Cheers thanks for your time everyone

why would you do this?...as for me, if you're planning on building a daily driver and occasionally dragging it...go with JDM ITR pistons, BC3+ cams, a nice header, and go with hondata s100.

You should really do more research on this site, because there are alot of builds that might interest you. And there is no such thing as a "perfect" or "best" set-up, it really all depends on YOU. on your budget, your driving habits, and what you are going to use it for and your hp goals. O and get hondata and stay with your gsr head.
