I was wondering if i could put a d16y8 from a 99 civic ex into my 88 crx hf.
if so what will i need to complete the swap,axles, wiring harness or conversion,different trans, etc. thanks for any help

 

u would need to convert to odb1 or 2, along with getting the right ecu, its pretty easy, rywire.com can help u with that, you can maintain ur tranny and axles but hf tranny's gears suck, so might as well get an si tranny while your at it. good luck

 

i know on the back of the y8 there is only one sensor type thing (not sure of the name, i think its either the thermoswitch or thermosensor) but on the back of the a6 block theres two (one with two prongs and one with one), im wondering what do u do about that? the reason why i ask is because i converted my 88si to obd1 planning on doing a mini me, but instead im getting a z6 swap and im putting that in, and i know the same holds true to that motor too, about missing one sensor, so what do i do. im using p28, so i just leave it unplugged. ?

 

the 2 prong thingy is the thermosensor and they moved it to the thermostat housing for obd 1
