Having problems starting my 1997 Prelude after 1+ days of not driving?? System running lean? Full in
I have a 1997 Prelude with an Auto Trans. It has 92K miles and I just had the distributor changed because some dorky mechanic thought it was not starting sometimes because of the distrib.
As it turns out, it's not the distributor because I'm still having the same problem!
After a day or two of not driving the car will crank but won't start. It almost starts but doesn't!
But wait! After I take the spark plugs out, clean them, and put them back in about half an hour later the car starts does up?
The latest mechanic to check out my car out told me the car was running LEAN, he put it on the smog tester. But he was the same mechanic to tell me it was the distributor!? Anyways, he said the remedy would be to have the full injectors cleaned, should I go ahead with this or do you guys think it something else?

Can somebody read this and tell me if the fuel injectors need to be cleaned?? Or are leaking?
By the way, when I do take the plugs out I do see fuel on them and I do hear the fuel pump.

sounds like you may be fouling out plugs? it cranks but doesnt start? almost starts? sounds like plugs or maybe a fuel pressure problem.
