I have the opportunity to purchase a 26mm Mugen rear sway bar for $40 with endlinks. Im wondering is this too big for my 97 civic hatch? Will I eventually tear the subframe or what? What kind of difference what I feel with this upgrade? Im a noob when it comes to suspension work...

you probably want some type of subframe reinforcement with a bar that big if you have stock-ish spring rates.

 

i have h&r sports on the car if that matters...

You'll definitely need subframe reinforcement with spring rates that low. Look into the kits from comptech and A-spec racing.

get some sort of sub frame reinforcemant and you might wabt so get a stiffer spring rate

 

that's a lot of bar for an EK.

but the price is so right it's wrong...
