oil leaking onto headers..HELP!
i constantly have oil leaking onto my headers and everytime the headers heats up, it starts smoking. i think the oil is coming from the oil filter but im not too sure. anyone else have this problem with the H23? any help would be great. thanks.
check your oil pressure sending unit, it failed on my h23 but did not trigger any lights. they are about $20 from autozone iirc, just remember to use a little hondabond or sealant on the threads when you screw the new one in.

That O-ring is like $2, but the biggest problem is getting the old one out. It takes some time, easier if the car is up! (My buddy works in service for Honda dealer, said their cost is like $.32) Simple fix, but headache till then.

i wish my lude engine was a v6/v8....anyways, in addition to the oil filter rings, could also be cams seals that are leaking out of the back of your valve cover gasket, thats where my oil leak is coming from....burns on the header too

Oil mostly runs down hill so you shold be able to see where it is coming from, if not you are going to have to safely get under there and clean things up with some GUNK degreaser and start from scratch. It could be coming all the way up from the valve cover gasket or the distributor O ring or the oil pressure sending unit or the oil filter or the oil pan gasket or a rear main seal making a real mess of things, clean it all up and check it daily, thats it.
Dont forget the front main and cam seals in the timing belt area, they will run out of the timing cover and then run down the edge of the oil pan and then drip on the headers.
My guess - when you change your oil (if you do it yourself) and remove the filter, oil drips onto the flex pipe in the exhaust. When it heats up, it smokes.
