stupid question..... is my crx an ef

Default stupid question..... is my crx an ef

im so confused. i think i know that crx and civic hatch is and ef. what those it mean?

what year is your crx if it is 88-91 then it is an ef whether be crx or hatch back it is an ef

No US models are EF's .......

Civic SiR is EF9 in Japan, CRX SiR is EF8 there.

Check under the hood to the right of the firewall you see a blue plate with the VIN on it. It will say something like "JHMEE8xxxxxxx"

EE8 means in this case: European Market CRX 1.6i VT

no. Your crx isn't an EF if it's legally registered and insured in the USA.

if ur car is right hand drive it may be an ef. if ur car is left hand drive its probably a ED

Technically you guys are right. But in these forums EF means a 4th Generation CRX/Civic.

3rd gen civics are not POS, I has an EW1 engine in my first civic(84), now I got an EW4, original engine with over 250,000 miles, in my SI(86). Rusting around doors, hatch, sun roof, gas door, and rear tires. But it is not a POS. But I need more teg parts, got the brakes, seats, steering wheel, etc. Would like B16 from intergra for it later too, but gotta finish Suspension and stop the rust.
