I have a friend that is upgrading his rsx s from the k20a2 to the k20a motor, and he said he would give me his k20a2 type s motor, right now i have the automatic base rsx, and i am just wondering if the transmission will work with it or not or if the mounts are different. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

you will need to do an auto-to-manual (6-speed) conversion. the motor should drop directly in. oh, and make sure you get the ecu as well.

 

try checking clubrsx. lots more people with rsx's post there, and you should be able to find more thorough help for the swap. good luck.
