Default About a TPS problem lets see if anyone can help

well lets see.I put a new motor in my car its a b18c1 and that was a few weeks ago.So three days ago i put a SAFC APEXI in because it was running rich.that night i went out and the check engine light came on.its flashing 7..thats low volts to tps.on the apexi it has a volt meter for the tps and it reads 0.6closed and open its 4.8.it should be 0.5closed and 5.0 open...so i got my old throttle body on my old motor witch is a b18b and pluged in the TPS sencer only and the volts are even lower.I know the LS throttle body is good because it never made the check engine light come on and i had the apexi hooked up to the LS motor too.The light never came on until i hooke up the Apexi safc...and i havent checked the wiring yet because i know it right.the only thing i can think of is that the apexi is taking volts from the TPS.if so im going to take it out and i dont care ill run rich.heheh..so if anyone can help.please reply with real answers.thanks

My car threw a code 7 after I installed my v-afc. I measured the voltages and ground at the TPS and the ecu at least a dozen times, and got readings similar to yours - close to spec, but just a bit off. I finallly decided to isolate the v-afc as the potential source of the problem. I cut the TPS signal wire at the v-afc (the "in" and "out" leads) and looped the TPS signal wire back on itself so the signal went straight from the TPS to the ecu, and I didn't throw a code. After that, I decided to remove my v-afc permanently - end of problem.

i figured it out it was to rich at the top and to lean on the bottom..so what i did was i put it to stock on the safc and the light never came on so i made it more rich on the bottom and kept the top stock and never came on....the safc was making the tps go off because the tps runs the % of fuel it should have and i think the light was going off at the top...and im sorry when the throttle is closed it should be 4.5 not 5.0 volts ...thanks for your help the only person that replied..thanks
