TCC Unit
I own a 97 Accord with the check engine light on. Auto Zone checked for me and the reading said the TCC Unit. (Torque Converter Control Unit) Does anyone know where I can get one and some instructions on installation. Auto Zone does not even have a TCC unit in the system and the Honda dealership here has no idea either. Pretty sad that they cannot even help. Or they could be just yanking my chain to get the labor. They hate to see someone working on the car themselves, specially a female.

Autozone uses a generic scan tool that might not be reading the exact code.
The problem might be the 'lock up' solenoid, you can test the trans solenoids by unplugging them and jumper battery power to them and listen for a clicking noise.

if u by any chance remember the code that autozone said post it here if you dont remember have them recheck it and post it here
Sorry about not posting the info. It's a 97 Honda Accord LX. Stock for now. I just got the car in April and had a baby in May so I haven't had a whole lot of time to play with it. The Auto Zone code was PO 740. Thanks for the help!!!
p0740 is the lock up comtrol system,, you might have a faulty lock up control solenoid,,,,,, chk wiring at solenoid make sure they are plugged in properly if ok,, remove lock up control solenoid valve . clean the metal screen u need compressed air blow in the passages that are exposed in the tranny ..
