Default What size are the front speakers? 94-01 Integra

What size are the front speakers on a 94-01 integra? I bought 6 1/2s and people been telling me its 5 1/4 and 5 1/2 . . wtf??

The bolt/screw holes are 5.5" apart but the cone of the speaker is 5" wide...

The factory speaker size is 6-1/2" front and rear (unless you have a sedan, which uses 6-1/2" front speakers and 6"x9" rear speakers).

6.5's will fit. im not exactly sure what size tegs came with, but i know theyll fit.. I just put some in my teg

ok thanks, btw did you have to remove the speaker cup in order for them to fit or just put them in without any alterations?

yeah, if you upgrade to good speakers, you probably have to remove the cup for the bigger magnet. When you buy speakers, it usually includes some kind of ring that's about 3/4 inch thick. I find that if you invert that ring and put it between your speaker and door, it will pop it out enough so that your speaker does not hit your window. Also, you should install a baffle to protect your speakers from water.
