Default B18B1 Swap question

Well I swapped a 92 B18B1 into my Civic HB VX now I thought it was overheating according to the gauge but the motor itself does not seem to be hot. When I swapped this motor in would the heat gauge from the stock cluster be off? Thanks in advance.

If the cluster worked before the swap it will not read differently bc of the new engine.

Why do you say the motor itself does not seem to be hot?

You must be overheating.
