Default b16a tranny????

I have a 90 Civic hatch with a b16 swap. I blew the tranny and wondering if I have to pull the whole swap or is the away to get it out with the motor in? I do have the hasport mounts.

thanks

Yes you can change the trans with the engine in the car. It is cramped but can be done(I've done it). An engine hoist will help in the process.

I do have a hoist. should I pull the passenger side mount and rear mount. Then lift the motor til it clears the frame rails.
