Default new owner, greetings.

not exactly new owner. but bought 01 nhbp in march. 50k miles, went from bmw 325is to itr. more power, better handling , more reliable(325is fell apart at 129k) , cheaper to fix when needed, better gas mileage. that sums it up. existing mods were aem cai, mugen headers, apex n1 exhaust. I am selling the aem cai intake if anyone is interested. sugarland/houston area until the summer's over, then back to louisiana. hem2323@louisiana.edu if anyone is interested in the cai.

one more question, the stock intake is back on the car, i have one last piece that i cant get to fit properly. it's the downtube, snorkel that pulls air from the bottom of the car, how does it fit onto the bottom of my airbox? i searched too.

First off welcome to HT. The search function is your friend for most of your needs. Pics are looked upon greatly in this forum. As for the stock intake resonator as I believe this is what your talking about. You can pull the inner fender liner and you should have the room for what your talking about. Hope that helps.

thanks. yeah i'm interested in learning how the resonator fits to the bottom hole on the box. i have ample space but when i fit the two together before, a slight tug pulled the resonator out of the bottom of the box. as for pics, there's a sugarland meet for integras in 2 wks, i'll go and if people take pics of my car there they can post it. oddly enough there's a cw itr in my neighborhood, but ive never met the owner or seen him on here. pm me if its you.

Welcome and enjoy the stay. Get yourself a digital camera for pictures. Threads that have pictures really do get more attention especially when you need help with something.

The AEM intake makes the VTEC Crossover a real pleasure, why would you take off a good thing?

Something about it being absurdly loud and obnoxious made me ditch mine for stock. Easier to sell a stock car anyways...

Turbo does a good job of quieting the intake too..

I went from AEM cai to stock airbox minus the snorkel and it felt like night and day. That box without the snorkel felt like a dogg to be honest. Keep the cold air!

well, ive always been partial to the j's racing intake( whale ***** as you say). so that may be in the near future. but for now, i honestly like the looks of the stock box. seriously though, these cars rock. i originally planned to get an e30 m3, but couldnt find one worth buying and after more research, realized this was the modern day equivalent sans rwd. no regrets.

well if you like the look of the stock box but want more performance you should look into the comptech icebox. Many people on here rave about it.

welcome to ht. i can understand why you wanted to get rid of the aem cai. like someone previously mentioned, if you like the stock look, the comptech icebox has good gains and looks stock. anyway, this picture may help you put back together your stock airbox.

nightrider that is what i'm trying to figure out how to fit properly. ok, I have the box installed, plus the arm connected to the intake manifold with the o2 sensor hookd up. now. all i have left is one piece, it's the intake resonator, from that diagram is it two pieces? i just have one. what is the waffle pattern box that it passes through? man, i need pics up or something. maybe at this meet on sunday someone can show me what the hell i'm doing wrong. i thought the intake pulled air in from the very bottom of the car bc the hole in the airbox is placed on the bottom.
