Default ecu question

why would my 93 accord have two ecu boxes? my friend and i went to see if his chipped ecu would work with my car, but mine has two ecu boxes, so i have no idea. Would the ecu from a 95 lx work in my 93 lx?

is your car an automatic? if so, it's the tcu.
