1989 Prelude Si

So here is the deal. My heater/ac fan and radio will not work when the car is turned on, but they are fine in accessory mode. I removed the steering column housing and found that there was indeed a burn wire coming off the ignition switch (white with black stripe). I replaced this wire and no dice. But when I turned the car off, this new wire burnt also.

So beyond the ignition switch I am lost searching for this short. Can someone please give me some help or insight into where I might find it?

Also, what is the IG-2 fuse for under the hood?

 

Look for a pinched wire.....try looking up towards the headlights to make sure there isn't a pinched wire there - it happens a lot.....

Last Resort: You have to rig the power source of the radio.....not difficult.

 

I have thought about rigging the radio, but that does not fix the heat/ac fan. And it is gonna be a cold winter.

Nah...actually under the hood near the headlights....a lot of times, people have pinched wires there....that usually cause shorts.....if that doesn't work, just start to randomly check voltages......its a tedious process, but its better than taking it to a dealership to do it....they'll charge out the ***....
