hp gains?
from what I'm seeing...a header only makes big gains if you dump a cat...the exhaust under the car actually looks decent. An air intake can't make that much difference? I'm very happy with the car...I was thinking about a drop in K&N and a ecm reflash. LOL. Nothing else seems to be worth the cash. Looks like money is better spent on suspension and what-not...am I right. If this car does any comp. auto. sport...it'll be auto cross.

so whats your question im confused..

You will see better gains with a racing header, that is for sure, but then you may have to deal with emissions testing depending on where you live. Although i/h/e combo will not make tons of power the 3 of them together will give you a noticeabe gain, if you throw in Hondata you will get a little more. What that combo would really set you up for would be a supercharger. You could keep your add ons and just drop in the sc. Jackson has setup making 225 whp, pretty nice for a dd.
Dont know if this helps, just my .02.

yeah...LOL...I forgot question marks...I talked in circles.
I was curious if the non-FI mods were worth the money spent. intake, header, exhaust. If all three only gain me 10% hp, I was curious how much you could actually feel it on the car. I don't want to spend a lot modding this...it's a daily for me. I have a play car. Basically, I've searched and I've had many hondas...it always seemed the intakes were the best money spent...is that still the case? Or would it be more beneficial to do a k&n drop in and the JR Race header that everyone talks about and bolt it up to the stock exhaust. I don't care about emissions...you should see my turbo regal. (arkansas)
By looking at the catback, I would say the catback exhaust can't gain much hp...am I correct?

you're right about the suspension. mod that first if you plan to autocross.
i spent the last week at Deal's Gap running the Tail of the Dragon. i let the wife run the miata all week because i was having more fun in the ep3. it's fun to chase down modified miatas in corners like that.
all i have are adjustable dampers (konis in the front, agx in the rear), eibach sportlines, a comptech rear sway, and 205/50/15 v700s. naturally i upgraded the brakes, but only better pads and braided lines. the only engine mod i have is a SRI.

ok this makes more sense to me haha...
First off I say **** cats hahahha. (speaks from experience) well basic bolt ons are always benifitial, as of the moment that is all I have on my car (motor wise) ... I definatly can feel a difference. First what I did (after intake which was not that noticable to me) was got a shorty dc header... bolted from exhaust mani to the downpipe and cat. I rolled with that for a while with stock exhaust... then I looked more into the race header. I saw it much more efficient than the setup I had... but the only setback was that I had a base and DC Sports only makes a race header for the type s... so what I did was throw the header on myself... take my exhaust off and throw it in the trunk and drove to a shop I know to have them cut and migweld the piping so it would fit... (i would take pics but im lazy... if you need them just say so) anyway after that was on I felt a huge difference going from a shorty w/cat to a race header without. From there I bought my JIC Magic Ti muffler and got mandrel bent tig welded piping and felt even more power. As of now I am a base auto
not for long tho... and have exhaust and intake and put down 141 to the wheel
My conclusion: Exhaust and Intake definatly are worth money... so are tires and better suspension... really anything is better hahahaha
Goodluck
