just got back from the races have to say it was one of the better ones i've seen in awhile alot of side by side racing best part was wa watching history being made when andrew hines ran a 6.96 in the 2nd round of qualifying.

 

Powerade has been great this season, especially the past few weeks. I think next season they need to let the Import bikes run EFI (the V-Rods are currently running Motec v. Carb'd Suzukis). Hines won the event, but he got schooled on the tree in the final 2 rounds and mosot likely would have lost with equal power. Regardless this class has created a very good points race, just like the rest.

 

Hines actually ran the first 6 in Gainesville at the first race of the season. He ran a
6.99 then. He just reset the record in Sonoma.

They should be faster with Motec, fuel injection, 1 psi of boost and engines twice the size of the 4 cylinders.

 

Yeah the V-Rod engines have come along nicely that is for sure. I got a friend that races NHRA Pro Stock bikes his name is Shawn Gann maybe you saw him make a pass (well actually he got put out 1st round by Geno Scali) . He did really well last year and was 1st in the points for a little while and I think he finished up 2nd or 3rd. This year he is lagging pretty bad he needs to get some better sponsors and I think his program would pick up a little. Anyways I would like to see what they could do with fuel injection in the Pro Stock class the cars and the bikes.

Antron Brown and Angelle Sampy have done it in testing awhile back. but i guess if its not in competition it doesn't matter. But they did it back in March

Yeah Shawn and his dad Blake are good people. They did alot of work on peoples street bikes back home and let me tell you some of them were rediculous how fast they were. Anyways Shawn isnt quite on top of his game this year since it seems several of the bikes got alot faster and his is still running about the same as it did last year. The cool thing is he builds his own engines well him and his dad at their shop back in Stoneville, NC it used to be that most of the competitors ran a Vance and Hines built engine and there Shawn was doing really well with his own powerplant running with the big names in Pro Stock Bikes and no real sponser
