Default Low 1/4 mile trap speed

First let me start off saying I've searched this many times with no reward, just very vauge answers and alot of nonsence.
Im currently running a B18a1 with an LS cable trans shaved flywheel and act street disc with 2600lb. pressure plate. Motor bolt ons are just an intake, exhaust (with MANY holes in it) Nology wires and cam gears. I spent the better part of this last friday re-setting everything to zero, cam timing, ignition timing, and then it was off to the track. The BEST time I pulled was 14.901@ 90.42mph with a 2.27 60'. This to me is disgusting considering last year the same set up pulled 14.6@95.2 with the same setup (cams and ign. included) granted, the motor was beat to **** in the matter of that year. Leading to question, To hatch owners with ls motors and cam gears, where do you have your cam gears set up for most top end pull? When i run slicks im a competent driver with consistent 1.9 60's so off the line is not a problem but now im plateauing at the 1/8 mile. LS OWNERS, WHERE DO YOU HAVE YOUR CAM GEARS SET AT (IN DEGREES) AND WHAT ARE YOUR TRAP SPEEDS? Thanks for any input and p.s. I know the exhaust leaks will decrease trap speeds but not by 5 mph. Any positive feedback is appriciated

I set my cam gears at +1,-1 in my da with crower 403's and boltons and ran 14.99 @ 91. I set them back to zero(im untuned) and since then i have only manged to trap at 90. Im not sure if my higher trap was because of the cam gear settings but everything else was the same(car, track conditions, weather) when i trapped at 90. I will be tunning it soon so i will play with the settings and see which one makes more power. This was also with the stock ls tranny, hope this helps.

Thats what i dont understand. My buddy has basically a clone of my set up in the same si hatch and he sprayed on me in 3rd gear after i had him smoked up untill the 1/8 mile and he ran 14.72@102mph. I jump off the line but after the eigth mile i only gain 12mph. I know i have a rather undesireable final drive but damn, what happened in one year? Any more input would be appriciated but thanks so far fellas

No practice driving. Thats what i do, i drive about 90 miles a day thru traffic and im very competent and consistent in my driving. You sir failed to read the post where it said that i had an ls trans and we all know the gearing in the trans sucks. Another thing you fail to mention is an answer to a question that i had asked, you post something that is irrelevent to the subject, so it would only be courteous of me to tell you that your opinion sucks. LS with LS trans owners, WHERE ARE YOUR CAM GEARS SET?! Thank you

I ran 7 15.2s on zero and the 6 14.9s are +1,-1. Im out to find someone with a similar problem to maybe help rectify mine because it disgusts me. On another note, i dont car how much horsepower it gains, the post was aking were to set them to gain better top end speed after the 1/8 mile because i platuea. Im not here to pick a fight, just to pick a mind dude
