ek stock sway bars
Is there any version of the ek hatch that dosen't come stock witgh sway bars front and rear? I know most version of the eg hatch don't have them requiring you to switch to different lcas. I am currently tring to decide between an ek and eg hatch thats why I ask.

For the front you will need to swap in EX or Si front LCAs (depending on what front bar you want), or you can go aftermarket that will work with the stock LCAs.
The rear EK LCA's have the holes in them for the sway bar, so you don't need to swap them out.
As for Coupes, the EX and the Si came with sway bars, the DX has none.

what can we use that is stock that will bolt up?

In the rear, the stock EX and Si sways bolt right up. So does an ITR bar with Si end links, but you'll need some sort of subframe protection for that (i.e. Beaks, or ASR). If you're going the ITR route you should look into Comptech as well.

which is better and why, using a front sway that connects on the stock dx front lcas or to swap to ex lcas and use a standard sway bar? Also is there any difference between si or ex front lcas?

Yes, there is a big difference in the ex and si front lca.
Si front lca

EX front lca

Wow there is quite a difference thanks kaiba. I'm assuming these are pics for the ek coupe. I'm also assuming that there won't be any compatibility issues with having to change your shock fork or anything liek that right? I am assuming the si front lcas are better, they look quite a bit beefer. But this will require getting a sway bar suited to the si not the ex becasue the both endlinks look different. Also how can a sway bar work with stock lcas if there are no holes drilled for it?

If you use the si front sway you need the si front lca's and front shock forks. If you use the ex front sway you only need the front lca's. Sway bar can't work with stock lca's when there are no holes drilled for it. All 96-00 rear lca's have swaybar holes in them stock.

Simple question.
I have a 97 civic EX coupe.
Did my car come from the factory with front and rear swaybars?
And if not, would GSR rear swaybars be a worthwhile upgrade?

your car did come w/ a factory front sway but not a rear. a GSR rear wont fit unless you get the Si endlinks and Si mounting hardware.

is it advisable to spend a little bit more for the si parts or is there really no advantage compared to the ex? Also are there any other good options like dc2 or dc2r?
I plan on upgradeing to si brakes so i can keep my steelies on. Will switching the si hardware help this upgrade as well? And there is no differnece in aftermarket shock choices for the cx or si is there?
