What are people running? Is anyone in the 15's on an NA F22 Accord?

 

yes its possible, especially with alot of weight reduction

a carbed f22b2 in a CRX drag car runs high 8's now i believe (driver is bisimoto)

 

put the f22b1 sohc vtec motor with a manual tranny in a cb7 (90-93 accord) and it will run 15s i think... prolly with a lil weight reduction. otherwise just throw some bolt ons on that motor and it will run 15s definitely.

anyway i ran 16.4 in hawaii elevation, pretty heavy 16" wheels and slight headwind with bolt ons and clutch/fly full interior sub and heavy tool box. since then i put it a 64mm TB (stock 60mm) 15" 5th gen alloys and waiting to get my cam and cam gear installed. with a lil weight reduction and better launching and shifting i believe i can get into the 15s... very high 15s tho. problem is i dont race much so i need to practice shifting and launching for all that to come true LOL. 15s is fairly easy for n/a f22. now 14s... that can get a lil tough! thats what the h22 is for.

I have a F23A4, which is very similar to the F22. My best run so far has been a 15.9 @ 86mph and thats full interior, large sub box and everything that goes with it on 18's. Car should be capable of high 15's stripped and on steelies. All that is done is header, muffler, intake and plugs and wires.

 

I ran a 14.8@92 (I think, I want to find that timeslip) on street tires in a 1995 Accord DX Sedan. Had a F22B2 Block 11:1 pistons with a stock VTEC head, and H22 tranny. This was back in 1999-2000. Motor was actually built for nitrous, but I got rid of it before it saw the bottle , was gonna do a 120 direct port.
