Yikes, tried to fix maintenance light, and got a CHECK light.
Okay, I was getting a Maintenance light flashing 10 times (IAT Sensor) so I pulled the fuse for the ECU, watched a movie, went back out, and put it back in.
I let the car idle, but the maintenance light was still on.
I went and located what I believe is the IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor, (it was a little grey thing that slides into place and clips) and I pulled it out, to see if it was connected well. (The car is still running at this point)
It seemed to be fine, so when I got back in the car, the "CHECK" light was lit. You know the yellowish orange one with the picture of the engine behind it.
Anybody know how I did this?
I'm half tempted to call the dealer and schedule a service appointment on it.
What do you guys think I should do??

there is a button under the dashboard on the right side of the steering wheel tat is to reset it , if the maintenance light just flashes before, it is because ur car is at 7000 miles n would turn off later on, if it remains on, then just reset it, If u r still under warranty with all ur mods, then take it to the dealership, less trouble for u
well you must of screwed something up in order to get that check engine light -- i recommend you read the manual before you go pulling fuses for ecus and garbage -- all that means is its time for a scheduled maintenence
Ok, the maintence light flashing is normal, it does it on a fixed schedule, you reset it with the button under the right side of the dash. There is a famous pic of its location.
You mistakenly thought that was the check engine light and upluged the sensor, which threw the code. You need to reset your ecu and that will clear the code.
The readers digest version of reseting the ecu is find the 7.5 amp backup fuse under the hood next to the battery. Run the car until it is at normal temp, turn it off, pull the fuse. Wait a few minutes and then plug it back in. Start the car and let it run for a few minutes with all the accesories off.

Okay, I'm an idiot... my maintenance light, and my Check Engine light are different.
now I know that.
Anyhow, after I jumpered the service connector, the CEL flashes one time for about 2-3 seconds, then pauses 4 seconds, then flashes one time 2-3 seconds then pauses 4 seconds, rinse repeat.
I'm assuming this is a CEL code 1.
CEL Code 1 = Oxygen Sensor "A" (Primary) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
I'm an idiot, and I really shouldn't be tinkering with my car, but this is how I'm gonna end up learning.
Anyone have any advice on this code??

I'm afraid I have no idea what you just said to me.
I caught disconnect the battery, from there on, I lost it. What are you talking about?

If the check engine light is a fluke(nothing really wrong), you'll find out by simply disconnecting your negative battery terminal, and putting it back, the check engine light will go away, and if there is a real problem will come back later on.
