Seems like your alternator is going out.

alt is brand new...wouldnt thew lights get dimmer if that was the problem not brighter...also before the battery light comes on it kind of hesitates when you step on it then you hit about 4k rpms and it feels like vtec when the battery light comes on....

Check your ground wires. Be sure all 3 of them are tight

voltage regulator, if im not mistaken, is inside the alternator. it IS possible to get a bad alt. from the start. have it checked at a reputable alternator shop... first i would just meter the car while running, have someone rev the engine while you read it at the batt. it shouldnt fluctuate much it should be around 14.4v all the time

try getting your alt checked out, and consider maybe a ground kit, maybe from NRG.

I'm sorry. That just paints a vivid image.

Isn't that what a vlotage regulator is supposed to prevent?

Exactley.

The lights get their power from alternator, if theyre getting brighter and brighter. What could cause this?
