Default driving normal, punch it, hard power, no power, hard power. fuel pump?

so i'll be driving in first, let it get up to 3-4k, then punch it, it'll slam you back into the seat, then hiccup loosing all power like its hitting a rev limiter, then before you can think it just slams you back again and will go all the way through the gears at full power.

is my stock vx fuel pump just not cutting it anymore and it just can't react to that kind of need for fuel?

my fuel filter is original, I have a new one and am currently installing it, but does everyone think i'm on the right track?

VX?

I'm guessing from your username you have a H22 swapped into an EG. I'd suggest using the prelude's fuel system instead of the EG's.

I had similar symptoms, and a new fuel filter and plugs cured it.

i'll just have to find some way to loosten the stock one, I can get the engine line loose, but that feed line is just too tight!

I can't say for sure, but knowing how Honda and many other import manufacturers like to cut the fuel spec's on the fuel system, I'd say it's time for a new Walbro. Have you tried a wideband?
