Default WWRS and huge Exhuast??

im running the Greddy Evo 2 cat back and i recently got the WWRS lip kit. but i noticed my exhuast sits close as hell to my stock bumper. the lip isnt going to fit with exhuast that close to the bumper.

im not selling this lip either, so what exhuast are using with that rear lip?

Man...I have the EVO exhaust - i was planning on buying that lip kit....i'm sure you can change it.....it'll just press a little firm against the lip...or you could cut out the part where the exhaust is....and put some sort of Carbon Fiber liner so it doesn't melt the lip........

I have the WWRS rear lip and my EVO fits perfect. You should be straight . I have like an inch at least inbetween.

.....Yeah....i thought th e EVO and EVO2 were the same with the exception of the full stainless steel on the EVO2.....

So how did you modify your lip? Did you put some sort of liner around it - or did you cut an exhaust semi-circle....?

some suggested modifing the hangers. so the exhuast hangs a little farther down. anyone know how to do that?

and pics are worth a thousand words.

They are the same. I just noticed that u have a 4th gen, maybe the fitment is slighty off. On my 5th gen it fits w/o modification. Good luck .

well i was told on PO.com that if i remove my left hanger. (looking at it the car from behind. so techincally the right hanger) the exhuast will fit under it no problem. anyone else confirm this?

you could just bring it to a muffler shop and say you want it to hang X inches lower and they can cut yours and weld on new ones

if u remove the left hanger then your exhaust will sit funny. it will clear the lip, i have tried it, but it will be somewhat slanted since it is only hanging on one hanger. what i did was just remove the lip, marked off a semi-circle which was a little bit bigger than the tip on my exhaust, masked that area off with tape, clamped it down to a table and cut it. then i used a dremel to smoothen out the curves.
