My buddy and I were looking to make a Car dolly not sure if we want to use a flat bed or a 2-wheel dolly. Not sure of the weight either. If you guys have anything let me know I am interested. I am aware they have these for sale for 30 bucks but I'd prefer to keep the change or at least pay cheaper

I would love to see some ideas for this as well. Its popular to remake the front cross member out of tubular steel for vw's and I have seen some people make dollys that use exhasut clamps to attach to them... They pull the car will all 4 wheels rolling on the ground. Alot of guys do it will old air cooled beatles as well.
I do think it would be safer to find a used dolely and purchase that. Cheaping out to building somethin towing your vehical doesn't make sense??? 30 dollars is nothing...you can make that before lunch!!

Word it is cheaper to make it then to buy a cheap used one. I watched a damaged old one get sold for just under 1g on ebay. Parts will cost roughly 200 at most to make it.
